A thank you letter

We recently received a thank you letter from a client we worked with last fall and we were so pleased we wanted to share his joy with you all. We photographed his classic 1963 Chevy Pickup cruising through the foothills of Kananaskis country. We printed the photograph and mounted it in a custom wood frame that Aaron made himself.

So, if you are interested in having your images printed and framed in custom, made to order frames, please contact us for more information and pricing!

”Aaron, I got the picture home safely and Chris and I are standing here in awe. It is beautiful in so many ways. How special is a handsome frame made out of wood from Victoria? Then there is so much going on in this shot. Did you notice the double yellow line reflected on the truck side panel? And the tiny splash of autumn gold way back down the road? We love the Alberta foothills and you caught the lighting from the sun in a cloudy sky on them perfectly. Of course seeing my boy drive that old dump is great too; both mean a lot to me! I look forward to showing you the spot of honour I found for it in our home. Thank you, Paul.”

Firefighters Memorial

Way back in September, Aaron had the honour of travelling to Colorado Springs to document the annual Firefighters Memorial on behalf of the Calgary firefighters union.

It is a very touching and emotional ceremony honouring firefighters who died in the line of duty or from illnesses contracted during duty. More than 7,000 firefighters and their families from across North America attended the 32nd annual Fallen Firefighter Memorial ceremony.

Here are a few photos from the event, featuring Calgary’s own Fire Chief, Steve Dongworth.

Calgary Firefighters

Big news!! We recently secured the one year sub contract with the Calgary Firefighters Association as their official photographers! We will be documenting special events put on by the Association as well as getting an inside look at the life of a firefighter. Here’s a sneak peek at some photos from yesterday’s Memorial service honouring our city’s fallen firefighters, held at the Calgary Municipal Building’s  Police and Firefighter Tribute Plaza.

Real Estate Photo Shoot

Earlier this week, Aaron shot these lovely photos of a condo for sale here in Calgary. If you have a property you’re looking to rent or sell, contact us today for your customized quote!

Lila and Jalal

Earlier this year, this adventurous couple agreed to brave the elements and do a photo shoot in downtown Calgary in the middle of winter! The weather was freezing and it even started snowing halfway through the shoot, which helped create the perfect wintry affect on the skating rink.  Lilia and Jalal have been married for almost 20 years and their love and ease with one another made it easy to capture some stunning moments! Here are a few highlights of the shoot!

Joanne and Colin's Wedding

Early in July, we had the honour of photographing Joanne and Colin's wedding in the woods.  This was not just a one day event but a weekend long celebration with all their closest family and friends.  They had rented the entire grounds and facility at Camp Kuriakos, just outside of Sylvan Lake. This idyllic location was the perfect back drop for this outdoor, adventure seeking couple to tie the knot.  It was amazing to see everyone working together to make this the most amazing experience, not only for Joanne and Colin, but for all of their guests as well.  Our every need was taken care of, with meals, snacks and drinks provided, comfortable lodging in the dorm style barracks and fun activities for the guests to partake in.  Aaron and I had fun exploring the grounds and finding fun and exciting locations for the wedding photos...and this couple and their family were willing to go along with our ideas, from hiking up hills in 30 degree weather, to traipsing through chest high grass and canola fields, to get some amazing shots!  Congratulations Colin and Joanne and thank you for letting us capture your special day!

Miriam's família

Miriam and her family from Brazil were looking for a place near Banff to make some quick family portraits. We decided on Two Jack Lake. No one was afraid to get their toes wet! Fun shoot.

Nick and Jana

We recently had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with Nick and Jana.  I've known this lovely couple for over 10 years, attended their wedding, watched their children grow into beautiful little people and made lasting memories of friendship through those years.  I'm honoured to be apart of capturing the love between them that is still evident 10 years later!  They braved the cold temperatures, complete with frozen toes and frosty ears, to get some amazing images!

Joshua's First Christmas

We had such a blast capturing this perfect little santa in his first ever photo shoot for his first ever Christmas!! So many special moments! Thank you Chelsey and Darian for letting us share these special firsts with you and for letting us rearrange your home to get the best backdrops with the best lighting!

Colin and Joanne's Engagement

We had the pleasure of travelling to Moraine Lake with Colin and Joanne to shoot their engagement photos in one of the most picturesque locations in Alberta!   These two were super troopers and braved the cold, wintery weather and surprise snowfall, sans jackets, to get some awesome shots!  We can’t wait to photograph their up coming wedding in July!
